Billed as being the world's first extra dry mastiha, this 40% spirit is distilled (in a similar process to gin) with the resin crystals of the Mastic tree which only grows on the Greek island of Chios.

For millennia, mastic resin has been extracted from the Mastiha tree and coveted and traded for its sweet floral scent, distinctive flavour and revered anti-oxidant healing qualities.Pronounced “Mas – teek – ah”, it is a spirit distilled from the resin of the mastiha tree, found on the Greek island of Chios. The sap is milked and left to dry in the wind, forming crystals which are then blended with alcohol and twice distilled in a process that fuses traditional distillation in hand-crafted copper stills to produce a premium, extra dry and unsweetened white spirit. The clear spirit is distilled from the resin of the Mastic tree farmed in groves on the Greek island of Chios. You might have seen this plant resin sold as natural chewing gum in Greece, or seen Greek honey with mastiha, popular in high end hamper boxes over here. It is reserved for a spirit produced in Greece using mastic resin exclusively from the island of Chios. The area beneath the trees is covered with a thin layer of white limestone powder to help keep the crystals clean.
