In this post, we’ll discuss a software solution for dealing with BMS (Battery Management System) issues by raising power failure flags, also known as pflags. When a power failure is detected, the BMS shuts down to protect the battery. This can happen if the power drops below a certain limit or if you disconnect the cells.
When you push the battery power button, nothing will happen. No LEDs will flash and you won’t see any sign of life whatsoever. That’s because no charge is left even to light up the LEDs. Batteries generally perform worse in cold conditions. If it’s winter or you’re in a particularly cold area, this could explain the absence of lights.
